“…the feeling of a ritual, an offering both pagan and contemporary, of our bodies to the relentless passage of time.”
This press series was developed in close dialogue with tattoo artist Summer Duplessis. The starting point was an emotional prompt rather than a visual one: yearning understood as an act of extension into open space, submission to the elements, and the idea of sanctuary.
Shot in an abandoned site, the images move between restraint and release. What began as a controlled, intentional process gradually shifted into surrender. The body becomes part of the landscape, absorbed by stone, moss, fog, and weight. The final image captures the moment where presence overtakes performance, holding a quiet state of offering.
